Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Move Control Account Dialog Box

Use this dialog box to create a new control account by moving it from one location to another.

You cannot have two control accounts with the same properties in a project. To create a new control account, you must modify the entry in at least one of the control account fields in the Copy To group box so that you will have a unique control account field combination. If all combinations of the control account fields are already used in the project, you cannot create a unique control account.

The names of the control account fields depend on the labels that you specified when you create the project in the New Project Wizard. For example, if you specified WBS as the label for in the New Project Wizard, then the field name displayed on the Move Control Account dialog box is WBS. You can also modify the control account field names on the Fields tab of the Project Properties dialog box.

Note: Moving or copying a control account through the Cobra application or the Cobra Web Service is not allowed in any of the following conditions:
  • The level of the control account code selected for the CLIN code is different between the source and target projects.
  • The level of the control account code selected for the CLIN code is the same for the source and target projects, but the code field types or code files are different.

If the control account code level for the CLIN code and their code file types and code files match during validation, Cobra performs the process. Otherwise, Cobra displays an error message. ​

Move From Group Box

This group box displays the following information about the source control account that will be moved.

  • Project
  • Control Account

You cannot modify these fields.

Move To Group Box

Use this group box to specify the fields of the target control account.

Field Description
Project Use this field to enter or select the project to which Cobra will move the selected control account. You can move a control account to the same project or to a different project.
CA1 Use this field to enter or select a name for the first control account field. When you created the project using the New Project Wizard and assigned a code file to this control account field , click to display the Code Lookup dialog box, where you can select the code to use in moving the control account field.
CA2 Use this field to enter or select a name for the second control account field. When you created the project using the New Project Wizard and assigned a code file to this control account field , click to display the Code Lookup dialog box, where you can select the code to use in moving the control account field.
CA3 Use this field to enter or select a name for the third control account field. When you created the project using the New Project Wizard and assigned a code file to this control account field , click to display the Code Lookup dialog box, where you can select the code to use in moving the control account field.
Description Use this field to enter a brief description of the control account.
Slip By Use these fields to move the start date of the new control account.
Date Select this option to enter a new start date for the control account in the New start date field. The date can either be earlier or later than the start date of the control account being copied.
New start date Use this field to display a calendar, where you can select the new start date. The new start date cannot fall before the status date or past the last date of the calendar used in the project.
Days Select this option to enter a value in the Days to Slip By field to move the start date of the new control account by a specific number of days.
Days to Slip By A positive value indicates the number of days to move the start date ahead, while a negative value indicates the number of days to move the start date back.
